What is a Spray Tan?
DHA - the ingredient that tans your skin a colourless liquid derived from sugar cane. The DHA reacts to the amino acids on the outermost layer of the skin causing the skin to change colour temporarily.
Because this is the outermost layer of skin is constantly shedding that means there is no skin damage from using sunless products.

Want the perfect tan so I need your help in achieving that! Remember 50% is your spray tan artist and 50% is you!!! together we can get that perfect Glow so to do that i need you to follow the steps below!
Easy Way to remember your prep steps is one simple line - Your spray tan is the last thing you do over all your Aesthetics services.
- 24 hours prior to your appointment please make sure that the list below is done if you are planning on gehng any of these services:
Wax/shave
manicure and pedicure
facials (except any intense facials)
Botox
Hair Colour
Lash Extensions
Brow Tints
- If you use strong skincare products like retinol please stop this a few days prior as they can affect your spray tan.
- The night or a couple of days prior to your Glow Tan please make sure that you exfoliate your entire body and moisturise. This step is super important in ensuring the best tan ever. Please do not use Loofahs as these items do not ensure an even exfoliation. No dove products.

Day of your Spray Tan Come Prepared!
- remove all makeup and deoderant
- remove all jewellery
- Come in dark loose long sleeved clothing
- do not wear anything restricted!
- can in flip flops or sliders (weather depending)
Remember this is a safe space! My number one priority is to ensure that from beginning to end of your appointment you have the best experience while gehng that glow! You wear what you feel most comfortable in the tent whether that is topless, bra top and panties or naked.

A Glow tan can last as long as 7 to 10 days! as long as you stick with your post instructions!
- DO NOT GET WET!!!!! While your tan is developing it is super important that you do not get wet. If you do this can affect the tan and leave you streaky.
- depending on the dura-on of how long your customized solution stays on ( advised by your technician) you can sleep in your spray tan however if doing so please make sure to wear a long sleeved shirt and pants to help avoid skin on skin contact.
- First initial rinse must only be with warm water, you can use your hand to help remove the bronzer from your body and keep rinsing until the water runs clear. Pat dry your body and then moisturise.
- MOISTURISE MOISTURISE MOISTURISE after your initial rinse make sure to moisturise your body and keep moisturising your body twice a day! this doesn't only ensure your tan will last long but that the tan will also fade evenly!
- avoid exercise that involves excessive sweating for 24 hours.
- On your second shower which can be an additional 10-12 hours later you can go ahead and use body soap (NOT DOVE) and wash your hair.
Keep on moisturising and stay hydrated by drinking your water and your tan will last you the full amount of days! Enjoy your Glow. Any questions always feel free to reach out!

Should you get a spray tan for a hot destination vacation, the answer is YES ! some just want the tan for when they arrive and don’t care after that. But others want the tan to last and with some tips from me it can!
Remember spray tans do not have sunscreen in them so you have to make sure you pack that and that it is spray tan safely! some great ones are : Coola and Sunbum
- whether on vacation or at home you still need to moisturise twice a day! some great ones are: Hempz, Neutrogena Hydro Boost, Aveeno, Cerave
- WATER, the more you sit in water the more your tan will lighten and start to fade! so if you are going to go into the pool or ocean do these steps.
do not sit in the water for too long and no jacuzzis
immediately when you come out of the water make sure to rinse with the outdoor showers available at the hotels and pat dry
if you sweat alot and especially on holiday make sure to pat dry!
- Best to book in your tan for vacation a day or two before! no longer than that.
add on a Hydration spray to longate the tan and keep your skin hydrated
bring along a tan extender to help you get the most out of your tan!

Well the short answer is any day! if you just want a tan for no reason at all!
BUT if your tan is for something special coming up then here are the best days!
For vacations best to get your tan a day or two before you leave.
for nights out on the weekend! so Fri to Sun then Thursday is your golden day!!!! that is known as TAN day in the industry
IF your tan is for a special occasion such as being a bridesmaid or guest of a wedding or big event or a romantic date! then 2 to 3 days prior to the event is the best.
The day you should never spray tan is the same day as your event or occasion as you will not have any colour for that special day!

How long will my spray tan last?
- with proper care of the tan you can expect it to last 6-10 days
Should i do a trial tan? If so when?
Absolutely! we highly recommend a trial. If you can coordinate with another wedding related event such as your bridal shower, makeup + hair trail, engagement party, photoshoot, stagette. Otherwise at least 3 or 4 weeks prior to the wedding
Ho long before my wedding should i get my spray tan?
2 to 3 days prior! this way we can ensure that you have had at least your initial rinse and proper shower before your big day.
Will it rub off on my dress?
When getting a spray tan keep in mind during the setting period there is topical bronzer which is sensitive and can move around or transfer onto clothing if not rinsed properly
After your rinse that product is no longeron the skin & the actual spray tan is developing. That product does not come off until the skin naturally sheds (6-10 days)
However if you have tight boning or built in bra you may see the slightest bit of transfer if there is rubbing or a lot of friction for a period of time on the skin. This will come out easily when you dry clean the garment OR you book for clear solution.
Will it cover my tattoos?
Nope you will still fully see them.

A fully Body Spray Tan that is customised to the clients desired colour based on their skin tone. Using a Regular Solution that requires 8-12 hour development -me.
Express Glow Tan - $65.00
For those who are short on time! Customised Solution that can stay on between 2-6 hours depending on your desired colour. You want a light glow? leave it on for 2 hours, Medium Glow? leave on for 4 hours, Dark Glow leave it on for 6 hours or more.

discontinue use of any Retinols, benzoyl peroxide, AHAs (glycolic acid, lactic acid) and BHAs (salicylic acid)
Do not consume alcohol 72 hours prior to treatment
If any laser done or any facial 4-6 weeks before microneedling treatment
You cannot be sunburnt or tanned by tanning booth , salon or sun

Avoid for 24 hours
makeup
excessive sweating (gym, leisure exercises, yoga, hot yoga etc.)
Avoid the following for the next week
chemical treated water (pools, saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms etc.)
Avoid tanning beds and direct sun
avoid any strong skin products for a minimum of one week.
Please ensure you were SPF everyday especially the first couple of weeks avoid sitting in the sun
Day 1 - Do not cleanse skin, only moisturize with Hyaluronic acid
Day 2- cleanse the skin with cold water, moisturize with Hyaluronic acid or the products recommended.
Day 3-7 you can start to cleanse with a gentle cleanser. Still stay away from any medical grade products such as , salicylic acid, lactic acid, glycolic acid, Retin A, retinol etc.
Day 8 - you may try to incorporate your medical grade skin care slowly your routine again.
